Walk at Setia Alam Community Trail
This morning January 31, 2015 we did some walk at Setia Alam Trail. There were about twenty participants which half of us were young nature lover enthusiasts.

Jean Weber gives some briefing on what will be done and can be expected during the forest excursion

To facilitate the walking, all the needed items should be easily accessed.

A wrist bag with multiple compartments is highly suggested

A simple bag which is carried by hand is one of good choice instead of a haversack.

Humidity in our region is up to 90%. When the haversack keeps sticking on the back, it soon will be wet.

Do the recording on the spot. We can not fully trust our memory since the information can easily be mixed due to excitements, interpretations, experiences, ....

Re-hydrate and keep the forest clean!

What can be expected while in side the forest? Many! There are tons of happenings. For example:

1. Forest scenery

2. Sharing and exchanging the information

3. Experience the nature ecology and habitats

4. Observing the new findings

5. Assessing the incredible treasure of the nature. For example measuring the size of Ficus tree

7. Exploring the unseen beauty. For example, witnessing the 'blood"color of Macaranga gigantea sap.

8. Enjoying the obstacle

9. Witnessing the nature phenomenon

10. Comparing the young plant to the adult (sapling of Shorea leprosula)

I highly appreciated the kids. They behaved well with full respect to the environment, eager to know the plants around them, interacted nicely with others, and ... were full of energy up to the end of the trip.

The participants express their satisfaction
